Gold price in Pakistan surges by Rs2,200 in a single day

WEB DESK: Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant upswing on Friday, mirroring the global uptrend. The precious metal reached a price of Rs216,500 per tola, marking a noteworthy single-day surge of Rs2,200.
As reported by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the 10-gramme gold bar was traded at Rs185,614, reflecting an uptick of Rs1,886.
This movement follows a previous day’s decrease when gold prices in Pakistan dipped by Rs500, settling at Rs214,300 per tola.
According to APGJSA, the international gold rate exhibited a rise of $20, reaching $2,006 per ounce on Friday.
This increment contributed to a premium of $20. Silver, on the other hand, maintained stability, with rates holding steady at Rs2,550 per tola.
