Gold, silver prices remain unchanged in Pakistan

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistani markets exhibited stability on the first trading day of the week, maintaining a consistent trend.

The 24-karat gold held its ground, with the price per tola remaining unaltered at Rs230,200.

Notably, in the preceding week, the 24-karat gold rate experienced a substantial surge, witnessing an increase of nearly Rs10,000 per tola.

This surge brought the rate to a level not seen since September 2023.

According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price for 10 grammes of 24-karat gold also remained unchanged, holding at Rs197,360.

Similarly, the rate for 10 grammes of 22-karat gold stood at Rs180,913.

In the silver market, prices showed no fluctuations today. The 24-karat silver maintained its value, being traded at Rs2,600 per tola and Rs2,229 per 10 grammes.

On the global scale, the international spot gold market reported minimal movement, hovering around $2,179 per ounce, exhibiting little change from the previous session.
