Gold prices hits record with Rs 8,100 surge per tola

KARACHI: Gold prices soared once again, with a sharp increase of Rs 8,100 per tola in a single day, reaching a new all-time high.

The new rate for one tola of gold is now Rs357,800. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs 6,944, taking it to Rs 306,755.

The international rate of gold also hit a fresh record on Monday. As per APGJSA, the rate was at $3,395 per ounce (with a premium of $20), an increase of $69 during the day.

According to market sources, the rise in international gold prices and fluctuations in the dollar rate are major factors behind the surge in gold prices per tola.
