Consumers breathe sigh of relief as oil and ghee prices fall in Pakistan

WEB DESK: The downward trend in oil and ghee prices in Pakistan continued in October, with average retail prices for all four major commodities dropping as compared to rates recorded in September.

According to a monthly report, the average retail price of one litre of mustard oil in October was Rs512.60, down 2.40 per cent from Rs525.18 in September.

The average retail price of 5 litres of Dalda cooking oil in October was Rs2,928.87, down 1.62 per cent from Rs2,977.17 in September.

The price of 2.5 kilogrammes of Dalda ghee in October was Rs1,392.21, down 0.90 per cent from Rs1,404.80 in September.

The average retail price of one kilogramme of Banaspati ghee in October was Rs534.92, down 1.75 per cent from Rs544.44 in September.
