In the current economic climate, with inflation and high prices impacting consumer spending, the demand for new cars has significantly declined. This poses a challenge for the auto industry, especially for vehicles priced at or above Rs3 million.
In response to this challenge and as an effort to boost sales of its vehicle lineup, Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has introduced a new car financing offer, claiming potential savings of up to Rs600,000 for car buyers.
It’s crucial to note that Suzuki is extending this financing option to four specific models, namely the Alto AGS, Wagon R VXL, Cultus VXL, and Swift GLX CVT, all of which carry an on-road price tag exceeding Rs3 million.
Remarkably, the most substantial savings of Rs626,960 are applicable to the Suzuki Cultus VXL, while the Swift GLX offers the lowest savings of Rs396,324. Furthermore, Suzuki lists total savings of Rs478,070 for the Alto AGS variant and Rs527,600 for the WagonR VXL.

However, it’s essential to consider that this financing arrangement involves a markup from a banking institution, which will inevitably raise the final cost of these cars well above their Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP).
Considering this important factor, there are significant doubts about the actual value proposition of this so-called “Save up to Rs600,000 financing” offer.
