Operational changes lead to more PIA flight cancellations

PIA flights delayed to PSO fuel supply suspension halt

KARACHI: On Saturday, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) had to cancel 17 domestic flights as the national carrier implemented its contingency plan, known as plan B.

The disruptions mainly affected the two-way flights from Karachi to various cities, with most of them either canceled or delayed.

Specifically, PIA’s flights from Karachi to Islamabad, namely PK 308 and PK 368, were among the cancellations.

Additionally, flights from Karachi to Sukkur, Lahore, and Quetta faced similar issues. Furthermore, two flights from Islamabad to Skardu, PK 605 and PK 606, were also canceled.

According to ARY News, this disruption followed a recent statement by the PIA spokesperson, who had mentioned that the flight schedule was gradually returning to normalcy after the resumption of fuel supply from Pakistan State Oil (PSO).
