Election 2024: Bilawal promises to build train connecting Tharparkar to Karachi

THARPARKAR: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari promised Tharparkar residents a direct train connection to Karachi during a rally on Saturday.
Addressing a large crowd, Bilawal Bhutto highlighted the unique bond between the PPP and people of Tharparkar, saying that the relationship was built on love, not politics. “I am yours, and you are mine”, he said.
Making a veiled reference to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif, Bilawal Bhutto said that someone is vying for a fourth term as prime minister.
He challenged assertions that Thar coal project was initiated by the PML-N, urging the people of Tharparkar to spread the “truth” Declaring the People’s Party’s commitment to Tharparkar’s welfare, Bhutto promised to advance the Thar coal project post-February 8.
Highlighting past achievements, he affirmed the PPP’s role in constructing the first airport in Islamkot. Bhutto also addressed concerns about potential exploitation of natural resources, vowing to protect Tharparkar’s assets and asserting the exclusive right of its people to benefit from local resources.
Bilawal Bhutto declared himself as the politician genuinely concerned about the common people in Pakistan, accusing others, particularly the PML-N supremo, of seeking governance in Sindh to exploit its natural resources for personal gain.

The PPP chairman shared ambitious plans, promising that if he is elected, he will construct 300,000 houses for the impoverished Sindhis, double their income, provide property rights to women, redistribute land from the feudal lords to the landless peasant, offer 300 units of free electricity, establishing solar parks in Tharparkar, and grant interest-free loans to women.
Bhutto concluded his rally with a direct call for votes on February 8. He asked for the public’s support in order to initiate his plans and visions for people of Pakistan.
