Election 2024: JUI-F extends support to MQM, withdraws from three constituencies


JUI-F withdraws from constituencies in favour of MQM

KARACHI: The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan-Fazl (JUI-F) decided to withdraw from three constituencies, throwing its support behind the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) on Monday.

Addressing the media, the JUI-F leader Sami ul Haq Swati revealed the party’s withdrawal from the national assembly constituency NA-244 in Karachi, and provincial assembly constituencies PS-116 and PS-117 in favour of the MQM. He confirmed his own withdrawal from PS-116.

Swati said that negotiations for the formation of a grand alliance to govern Sindh were currently underway. Highlighting the need for collaboration, he stated that the deteriorating conditions in Sindh over the past 15 years were evident to everyone.

Meanwhile Muhammad Sharif Gabole from Goth Aali Khan Gabole, a small locality in Malir district, also declared his support for MQM.
