ISLAMABAD:  TikToker Samiya Hijab has conditionally forgiven her ex-fiancé Hassan Zahid, who was accused of harassment, abduction attempts, and issuing death threats.

The case, registered at Islamabad’s Shalimar Police Station, became high-profile after Samiya alleged Zahid had been stalking her, sending unwanted gifts, and threatening her outside her residence.

Samiya in a post on Instagram stated stated that she has forgiven her harasser Hassan Zahid for the sake of Allah and he has withdrawn all his accusations against her and pledged never to harass or cause her any harm in the future.

She added that Hassan’s father and cousin personally visited her home to seek forgiveness, after which she decided that forgiving him was the best way forward.

Two FIRs were filed, one for attempted abduction and another for issuing threats and snatching cash.

Earlier on Friday, Zahid’s bail plea was rejected, and the court sent him to Adiala Jail on a 14-day judicial remand.

Police had sought extended custody to recover his mobile phone, vehicle, and weapons allegedly used in the crime, but the request was denied.

Breaking her silence, Samiya admitted that Zahid was her former fiancé.

She revealed that she ended the engagement after learning “disturbing truths” about him. Videos of their past meetings and gift exchanges had circulated online, sparking controversy and fueling criticism against the TikToker.

This is not the first scandal involving Samiya. Earlier this year, she denied involvement in leaked videos circulating online, calling them fake and AI-generated.

She accused her ex-boyfriend of spreading the content to malign her and announced plans to approach the FIA Cybercrime Wing.

The TikToker also shared that harassment had pushed her to the brink of suicide twice, though she survived for her mother’s sake.

She compared her ordeal to the tragic case of TikToker Sana Yousaf, who was killed after rejecting a marriage proposal. Samiya urged authorities to ensure stronger protections for women against online harassment, stalking, and defamation.

Despite her conditional forgiveness, legal proceedings in the case are still ongoing.
