2024 Met Gala: Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya, and Bad Bunny radiate enthralling elegance

The 2024 Met Gala commenced with a grandeur befitting its exclusive stature as an epoch-defining event in the world of fashion. Notable personalities from the entertainment industry, including Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya, and Bad Bunny, graced the event in head-turning ensembles.

This year’s theme, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” invited attendees to infuse their unique interpretations into their attire. From Zendaya’s enigmatic mermaid-inspired ensemble, characterised by dark, smoky hues and an aura of mystery, to Ed Sheeran’s understated yet charmingly elegant presence, the 2024 Met Gala showcased a remarkable blend of creativity.

Jennifer Lopez (J Lo), one of the gala’s co-hosts, turned heads with her attire. The singer-actress was draped in a Schiaparelli gown bedecked with sequins and intricate beadwork. She decided to pair the gown with a necklace and a sleek high bun hairstyle.

Meanwhile, Zendaya certainly turned heads with in a Maison Margiela gown by John Galliano. The mermaid-cut dress featured black, blue, and green shades with delicate leaf designs. The “Spider-Man: Homecoming” actress decided to go bolder. A maroon lipstick and smoky eye makeup complemented her dress. Zendaya’s look was completed with a feather fascinator.

Similarly, Bad Bunny, serving as a co-chair alongside Lopez and Zendaya, embraced the gala’s theme with a Maison Margiela Artisanal Collection ensemble by John Galliano. He adorned himself with a dapper navy wool jacket, elegantly layered over a sleek black satin corset. Adorned with dark floral accents, his ensemble honoured his Puerto Rican heritage while capturing this year’s theme.

Among the attendees were other famous celebs personalities such as Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Pamela Anderson. Sabrina Carpenter, Awkwafina, Rachel Zegler, Ed Sheeran, and Nicole Kidman also attended.

While the 80s rom-com queen Meg Ryan made a rare appearance, Rihanna chose to sit out this year’s gala.
