The Privatisation Commission and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have signed an agreement under which the bank will serve as the financial adviser for the outsourcing of Islamabad International Airport.
According to the agreement, the ADB will support the outsourcing process by providing technical, financial, legal, and commercial advisory services.
The agreement was signed by ADB representatives Emma Fan and Shahid Daio on behalf of their respective institutions.
Prime Minister’s Adviser and Privatisation Commission Chairman Muhammad Ali attended the signing ceremony, along with senior officials from the Privatisation Commission, Privatisation Division, and the ADB.
The advisory support aims to ensure a transparent and competitive process to attract international airport operators and investors.
The initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to improve efficiency in the aviation sector and increase private-sector participation in state-owned assets.
