Bid to smuggle 32 kg drugs foiled, truck driver held at Torkham border


KHYBER: The Border Customs Appeasement foiled a bid to smuggle 32 kilogrammes of drugs at the Torkham Border and arrested a truck driver on Saturday.

According to details, the Border Customs Appeasement officials during a search of the untenanted truck at the Torkham Border recovered 32 kilogrammes of drugs from its secret cavities.

The recovered drugs included 18 kilograms of Heroin and 14 kilogrammes of Ice (Crystal Meth).

The truck was impounded along with recovered narcotics and a driver hailing from Afghanistan was also arrested.
