Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi released from jail


LAHORE: On Tuesday, senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was released from Kot Lakhpat Jail following orders from the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

The jail administration confirmed that the former Punjab chief minister has been released.

In a message on his official X account, Elahi expressed gratitude to God for his exoneration and for giving him the strength to stay resilient.

The PTI leader also dismissed the possibility of any discussions with his cousin, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid chief Chaudhry Shujaat, and his children until “the return of our mandate.”
