Court reserves verdict on admissibility of marriage case against PTI Chairman

ISLAMABAD: Local court Monday reserved the verdict on the admissibility of the marriage case between PTI Chairman and Bushra Bibi during iddat.

Rizwan Abbasi, the prosecution lawyer, argued that the Chairman of PTI’s marriage to Bushra Bibi occurred during her Iddat period, which had not yet been completed at the time of their union.

Abbasi further contended that although the marriage took place in Lahore, both parties were residing in Bani Gala, Islamabad. According to the law, an application can be filed within the jurisdiction spanning from Islamabad to Lahore.

Following the presentation of arguments, District and Sessions Court Civil Judge Qudratullah reserved the verdict, which is expected to be announced soon.
