ISLAMABAD: Croatia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Dr Gordan Grlić Radman, arrived in the federal capital on Thursday morning for an official one-day visit aimed at deepening bilateral relations between the two countries.

Upon his arrival at the airport, the Croatian foreign minister was warmly received by the Director General Europe-I of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), alongside other senior officials.

High-level diplomacy in focus

During his brief but strategically vital stay, Dr Radman is scheduled to hold extensive, delegation-level talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.

The discussions are expected to map out new avenues of cooperation and review the existing spectrum of political, economic, and diplomatic ties.

The visiting dignitary will also call on Pakistan’s top leadership to exchange views on regional developments and matters of mutual concern.

Expanding bilateral cooperation

According to diplomatic sources, Pakistan attaches high importance to its relationship with Croatia, a key member state of the European Union.

The foreign office noted that Islamabad looks forward to further strengthening bilateral cooperation with Zagreb across several areas of mutual interest, particularly looking to boost trade, investment, and cultural exchanges.

The visit is seen as a pivotal step in reinforcing Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach to Europe and fostering robust institutional linkages between the two nations.
