Five killed, seven injured as car falls into ditch near Deosai

SKARDU: At least five people were killed and seven others injured after a tourist vehicle fell into a deep gorge near the Deosai top on Friday.

According to rescue sources, the tourist vehicle veered off the road and fell into a deep ditch. “The injured, including two women, were rushed to the nearby hospital for medical treatment,” said the sources.

Senior Superintendent of Police Skardu Mirza Hassan said that the victims hailed from Quetta.

“The rescue team has swiftly responded to the scene and efforts are being made to make contact with the families of the victims,” the police officer said.
