Friday weather: dry, cold conditions with a chance of thunderstorms

WEB DESK: The weather across most of the country on Friday is expected to be dry, with a slight dip in temperatures in higher altitudes. However, some areas, particularly in the northern regions, will experience partly cloudy skies, and there is a chance of light rain and thunderstorms.

Going region by region, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts that Islamabad and its surrounding areas are set to experience dry conditions throughout the day. The weather will remain clear, with no significant rainfall expected.

Punjab will experience dry weather in most districts. However, the hill stations of Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding areas will see cold temperatures at night and early morning. No rain is forecast for this region.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, too, dry conditions are expected in most plain areas, though temperatures will drop in the hilly regions overnight. Some areas, including Chitral, Swat, Malakand, and Dir, will see partly cloudy skies, and there is a possibility of light rain and thunderstorms at a few isolated locations.

Sindh, on the other hand, will experience hot and dry weather, with temperatures likely to be higher than usual. It will be a dry day, with no significant rainfall anticipated.

Balochistan will largely remain dry, with most districts seeing clear skies. However, the northern parts of the province, especially in the mountainous regions, will experience colder temperatures during the night and morning hours.

Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will also get cold weather with partly cloudy skies. Thundershowers and light rain are expected in scattered areas, with the chance of occasional thunderstorms adding to the cool, damp conditions.
