KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan rose on Saturday after a sharp decline in the previous session, tracking movements in international markets, traders said.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs2,300 to Rs493,162. The price of 10 grams of gold also rose by Rs1,971 to Rs422,806.

The uptick comes a day after gold prices recorded a steep fall both locally and globally amid volatile trading conditions.

On Friday, gold in Pakistan had dropped by 5,200 rupees per tola, while 10 grams fell by 4,458 rupees, reflecting weakness in global bullion markets.
