Gujranwala motorway link road set to open for traffic from January 31st

LAHORE: Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced on Monday that the Gujranwala Motorway link road, designed to significantly reduce travel time between Lahore and Gujranwala, is set to open for traffic on January 31st.

Naqvi directed to expedite the construction of a two-lane road connecting Gujranwala to the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway.

The Gujranwala Expressway is poised to be a groundbreaking achievement in modern travel infrastructure, stated Naqvi, noting that the journey from Gujranwala to Lahore can now be completed in just 45 minutes.

He highlighted that this development will provide thousands of passengers with the convenience of comfortable travel.

Naqvi further informed that 85 per cent of the project has already been completed, indicating significant progress.

Officials from the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) briefed the Chief Minister on the current status and advancements made in the project.
