rain and wind

ISLAMABAD: Early morning heavy rainfall in most areas of the country including Islamabad has brought relief from much hot and humid weather.

Heavy rainfall has been reported in several areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and its surrounding areas including Kharian, Lala Musa, Kamoke and Noshera Virkan.

The rain coupled with cool winds has broken the heatwave, but low-lying areas have become flooded. WASA has deployed additional machinery to take out flood water.

Additionally, power outages have occurred in multiple areas due to feeders tripping after the rain.

Lahore has also experienced rainfall in several areas, including Mall Road, Anarkali Bazaar, Awan Town, Qartaba Chowk, Waris Road, and Lawrence Road.
