ICC launches major global campaign ahead of India-Pakistan T20 World Cup match

COLOMBO: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled a major global initiative to make the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 the most accessible cricket tournament in history, leveraging modern technology and global fan engagement.
All tournament matches are now available on the ICC website and app via ICC.tv in over 80 regions. For the first time, select matches, including the high-profile Group A clash between India and Pakistan in Colombo, are being streamed live on YouTube, with commentary provided in Japanese and Bahasa.
Fans can also tune into commentary in English, Hindi, Urdu, and Nepali on ICC.tv. In India, broadcast partner JioStar is airing matches in multiple regional languages, while the British Broadcasting Corporation is providing global radio coverage through the ICC app.
In a push to enhance fan interaction, the ICC has introduced a new Creator Club and a Match Insights feature, offering real-time data to help fans better understand the game.
Global fan parks have been established to bring supporters closer to the action. In India, matches are being showcased through Marriott Bonvoy and cinema chain PVR Inox, while in Sri Lanka, Dialog and Budweiser have launched fan activations. STARZPLAY is promoting the tournament in Dubai, and Coca-Cola has created a fan park in Kathmandu, Nepal. In Pakistan, fan parks in Karachi and Lahore are broadcasting matches via digital partner Tapmad.
The ICC’s initiatives aim to create an unprecedented level of global engagement, ensuring that fans everywhere can experience the excitement of the T20 World Cup, no matter where they are.
