Imran Khan disputes Nawaz’s claims in AI message

WEB DESK: Pakistan’s incarcerated former Prime Minister, Imran Khan, asserted his triumph in the nation’s general election on Friday through an audio-visual message generated using artificial intelligence, which he shared on his social media platform, X.

In the message, Khan expressed gratitude and extended congratulations to PTI followers for the overwhelming turnout and support. He emphasised that the ‘success’ of the elections in 2024 is a testament to their dedication and urged PTI supporters to celebrate the victory.

In the message, which is usually delivered by word through his lawyers, Khan rejected rival Nawaz Sharif’s earlier claim to victory. Khan called on his supporters to celebrate a win that was achieved despite what he calls a crackdown on his party.

Remarkably, independent candidates endorsed by Khan secured the majority of seats in Thursday’s national election, a notable feat considering Khan’s incarceration and his party’s exclusion from the electoral process.
