Khawaja Saad Rafique undergoes heart stent procedure

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Khawaja Saad Rafique was hospitalised after experiencing a heart-related ailment and underwent a stent procedure, he said on Wednesday.

Speaking to Hum News, Rafique said he went to hospital for a routine check-up after feeling unwell.

During the examination, he said, doctors detected a blockage in one of his arteries and immediately inserted a stent.

“The treatment has been completed and I have returned home. By the grace of God, my health is improving,” Rafique said, requesting prayers from supporters and the public.

Party leaders and close associates visited him during his hospital stay and expressed their good wishes.

Rafique said he is focusing on his recovery and is expected to resume routine and public activities in the coming days.
