KP cabinet expands to 27 members

PESHAWAR: One more adviser and four special assistants have been added to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet, bringing the total number of provincial cabinet members to 27.
On Thursday, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor approved the summary sent by the chief minister to appoint PTI MPA Ihtisham Ali as provincial adviser, and Sohail Afridi, Muswar Khan, Naik Muhammad Khan, and Humayun Khan as special assistants.
Following the denotification of Shakeel Khan and Mashal Azam Yousafzai from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet, the number of cabinet members had reduced to 22 which included 14 ministers, four advisers, and four special assistants.
According to sources, the new adviser Ihtisham Ali has been assigned the portfolio of the health department, while Sohail Afridi has been appointed as Special Assistant for the C&W Department, Muswar Khan as Special Assistant for the Forest Department, Naik Muhammad Khan as Special Assistant for the Relief Department, and Humayun Khan as Special Assistant for the Prisons Department.
