Lahore police issue security plan for Chand Raat

LAHORE: Lahore police have issued a comprehensive security plan for Chand Raat on the eve of Eidul Fitr.

CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana said that on the occasion of Chand Raat, over 3500 police personnel, including six SPs, 22 SDPOs, 83 SHOs and 487 subordinate officers, will perform security duties.

He said that the Lahore police have formulated an integrated security plan to protect the life and property of citizens on Chand Raat.

The CCPO said that the security across the city will be on high alert during Chand Raat.

He said that markets, bazaars, and shopping malls will be provided with complete security while supervisory officers will personally review the security arrangements on Chand Raat.

He said that Dolphin Squad and PRU teams will continuously patrol on Chand Raat while checkpoints will be set up on the city’s main roads, markets, and public places.

He said that the Safe Cities Authority’s cameras will effectively monitor the provincial capital.

He said that activities such as one-wheeling, kite flying, aerial firing, and hooliganism will not be permitted on Chand Raat and strict action will be taken against miscreants.

The CCPO said that search, sweep, combing, and intelligence-based operations will continue on a daily basis throughout the city.
