Lahore Chief Traffic Officer Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi has warned parents, one-wheelers and reckless motorcyclists that authorities will launch a special crackdown across the city during the Eid holidays to curb dangerous road behaviour.

According to the CTO, traffic police will carry out a special hold-up operation on Thursday against underage riders, triple riding, one-wheeling, zigzag driving and other forms of reckless motorcycle riding.

He said strict action had also been ordered against bikers travelling in groups and those using motorcycles without silencers, as authorities intensify efforts to maintain public safety during Eid celebrations.

Shirazi urged parents to keep a close watch on their children during the holidays and prevent minors from engaging in dangerous stunts or violating traffic laws.

The CTO said special police deployment had been arranged at 90 locations across Lahore to prevent one-wheeling and hooliganism on roads frequently crowded during Eid nights.

He appealed to citizens to cooperate with traffic authorities and follow traffic regulations to ensure safe travel for everyone during the festive period.

The warning comes as traffic accidents and reckless riding incidents typically rise during Eid holidays, particularly involving young motorcyclists performing stunts on busy roads late at night.
