Lunar eclipse Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has announced that the last lunar eclipse of 2023 will be visible in Pakistan tonight.

The eclipse will begin at 11:02 pm on Friday, October 27, and will reach its peak at 1:14 AM on Saturday, October 28. The eclipse will end at 3:26 AM on Saturday, October 28.

Fact-finding committee formed to uncover Faizabad dharna details

During a lunar eclipse, the Earth casts its shadow on the Moon. This can cause the Moon to appear dimmer or even turn a reddish color.

The PMD has advised the public to take precautions when viewing the lunar eclipse, as direct sunlight can damage the eyes. People can use special eclipse glasses or project the image of the eclipse onto a screen to view it safely. – INP
