Nawaz suggests India to send cricket team to Pakistan to normalise bilateral relations

LONDON: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif said on Tuesday that there was no qualm in mending bilateral relations with India and suggested the latter to sent its cricket team to play in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy in Pakistan.
Talking to the media along with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in London, Nawaz Sharif said that there was a dire need to establish bilateral relations between India and Pakistan.

His talks come after India refused to come to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Pakistan has announced that if India continues the stance, Pakistan will not play with India on any level, including T20 World Cup 2026. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also started considering the minus India formula.
Taking a jibe at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the PLM-N president said that one political party in the country was fostering a culture of aspersion and vilification. He said that since when they have become an opposition in the National Assemly, its supporters have have crossed all limits.
Nawaz said, “This is very unfortunate and if a party opts for staging protests all thetime, it should carry on with it but it should not bypass ethical boundaries. He said that it was most unbecoming act on their part to run after vehicles of opponents or throw tomatoes and eggs at them.
