Pakistan witnesses a modest increase in gold prices

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a notable and modest increase on the last day of the business week on Friday.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of gold per tola surged by Rs1,600, reaching Rs242,900.

The price for 10 grams of gold also increased, rising by Rs1,372 to settle at Rs208,248.

The association further reported that the global market price of gold per ounce increased by $28, reaching $2,343.

Over the past three months in 2024, gold prices in Pakistan have shown significant fluctuations, reflecting global market trends and domestic economic conditions.

Overall, the three-month period demonstrated a general upward trend with significant peaks and troughs, highlighting the dynamic nature of gold prices influenced by both domestic and international factors.
