PM Shehbaz, Saudi crown prince MBS discuss regional developments, agree to advance peace

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, during which the two leaders discussed recent developments in the region and reaffirmed their commitment to promoting peace and stability.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir were also present during the meeting.

During the talks, the prime minister conveyed his best wishes to Saudi Arabia’s Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Sharif also expressed deep appreciation for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s longstanding support for Pakistan, particularly during challenging times. Reaffirming Pakistan’s solidarity with the Kingdom, the prime minister said Islamabad would continue to stand firmly alongside Saudi Arabia.

Both leaders held a detailed exchange on recent regional developments and agreed to continue working together to advance peace and stability in the region.

Sharif emphasised that Pakistan would make every possible effort to achieve the shared objective of regional peace.
