PSL 11 final: Lahore traffic police roll out parking, traffic plan

Authorities have finalised an extensive traffic management and parking plan for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 Final, aiming to ensure smooth movement across the city while facilitating thousands of cricket fans expected to attend the match.

According to a spokesperson for City Traffic Police Lahore, more than 500 traffic wardens, along with 90 inspectors and eight DSPs, will be deployed under the supervision of divisional SPs. Additionally, 11 forklifts will be in operation to address illegal parking and maintain traffic flow.

PARKING & ROUTES PLAN

Five designated parking areas have been set up for spectators. Fans can park their vehicles at Government College Gulberg, CBD parking facilities, Sunfort Hotel, and Liberty parking zones.

Visitors traveling via Ferozepur Road will be directed to turn at Kalma Chowk and proceed towards designated parking near Gulberg. Those arriving from Defence and Cantt areas can access Liberty parking through Main Boulevard Gulberg via Hussain Chowk or Sherpao Bridge.

Meanwhile, attendees coming from Mughalpura and Garhi Shahu will be guided towards Sunfort Hotel and Liberty parking areas through Main Boulevard Gulberg.

ROADS TO REMAIN OPEN

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi confirmed that no major roads will be permanently closed during the event. Key arteries including Mall Road, Jail Road, Canal Road, Ferozepur Road, and Main Boulevard Gulberg will remain open to ensure normal traffic flow across the city.

Authorities have advised citizens to follow the designated routes and cooperate with traffic officials to avoid congestion during the high-profile match.
