PTI leader Salman Akram Raja released after brief arrest in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has been arrested in Islamabad, the party spokesperson Hussain Ahmed Yousafzai told HUM News.

According to Yousafzai, Salman Akram Raja had gone to attend the funeral of Ejaz Satti near Nilore Police Station, where he was arrested.

In a post on its official X account, PTI claimed that Raja, MNA from Murree-Kotli Satiyan Latasab Satti and other party workers were detained while they were on their way to Kotli Satiyan to attend Ejaz Satti’s funeral prayers.

The party alleged that the detentions were carried out to prevent people from attending the funeral, saying that its workers were being arrested after the death of Ejaz Satti.
