Punjab govt reshuffles bureaucracy, new DCs appointed across several districts

WEB DESK: The Punjab government on Tuesday announced a major reshuffle in the provincial bureaucracy, with new deputy commissioners appointed in several districts and senior officers assigned key administrative positions.
According to a notification, Owais Mushtaq has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sialkot, while Maham Asif Malik will serve as the new DC Toba Tek Singh.
Muhammad Ikram Malik has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner (DC) Okara, whereas Director General Suthra Punjab Authority Babar Sahib Din has been posted as DC Jhang.
Hina Arshad has been appointed as DC Khanewal, while Rana Hameed has been assigned as the new DC Nankana Sahib following the transfer of Tasleem Akhtar Rasool.
Syed Muhammad Abbas Shah has been appointed as DC Bahawalnagar.
The reshuffle also includes key appointments in provincial departments. Muhammad Waheed Asghar Bhatti has been appointed as Managing Director of the Punjab Resource Management and Policy Unit.
Meanwhile, former DC Sialkot Saba Asghar Ali has been appointed as Chief of Section at the Punjab Planning and Development Board, while former DC Okara Ahmed Usman Javed has been posted as Additional Secretary Home Department Punjab.
Former DC Jhang Ali Akbar has been appointed as Additional Secretary Irrigation Department, and Muhammad Tasleem Akhtar Rao has been assigned as Additional Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department.
Zulfiqar Ahmed Bhon has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Punjab Saaf Pani Authority, while Captain (retd) Syed Ali Asghar has been appointed as Additional Secretary Finance Department Punjab.
Former DC Khanewal Maliha Rashid has been directed to report to the Services and General Administration Department (SGAD) for the Senior Management Course.
The latest administrative changes are part of the Punjab government’s ongoing efforts to reorganise the provincial administration and strengthen governance at district and departmental levels.
