Punjab police ban bike-riding sans helmet

LAHORE: Punjab police have banned bike-riding without helmets across the province.

According to a notification, the action will be taken against against violators.

As per the notification, each city traffic police (CTP) department in Punjab will maintain a record book that will document the bikers subjected to legal action on a daily basis.

The CTP has been instructed to submit the record book to the relevant authorities every day for efficient monitoring and record keeping.

The measure has been put in place to prevent increasing road accidents and ensure the safety of citizens.
