Rainfall threatens wheat crops in Renala Khurd amid nationwide rain forecast

RENALA KHURD: Recent rainfall has led to fear of wheat crop damage in Renala Khurd, located in the Okara district of Punjab in early hours of Wednesday.
The unexpected rain raised fears among farmers, who rely heavily on this staple crop for their livelihoods.

Weather forecast for Wednesday
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) issued weather forecast for Wednesday, stating that a shift in weather during March will result in rain with strong winds and even thunderstorms is expected across various parts of Pakistan.
In Islamabad, cloudy weather will prevail with chances of rain and strong wind.
Similarly, Balochistan will experience cloudy conditions, with rain and thunderstorms expected in several districts, including Zhob, Quetta, and Chaman.
A dry and cloudy weather is expected across Punjab in most districts. However, rain is forecasted in specific areas such as Murree, Rawalpindi, and Sargodha.

Sindh will see partly cloudy and hot weather in upper districts, while dust-raising winds are likely in the southern regions.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), rain with strong winds is expected in various cities, including Abbottabad, Peshawar, and Dera Ismail Khan.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) issued a statement warning of impending heavy rainfall.
Similarly, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir will experience cloudy weather with rain and thunderstorms.
