Security forces kill 27 terrorists in Fitna al-Khawarij operation in Balochistan

Security forces have killed 27 terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in the Karam Valley area of Mastung district in Balochistan, military sources said.

The operation against Fitna al-Khawarij militants was conducted in two phases, with 15 militants killed during the first phase and another 12 in the second, according to the sources.

A local commander, identified as Yasir Parkani, was also among those killed along with his associates, the sources said.

Security forces recovered a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from the militants’ hideouts during the operation.

A sanitisation operation is under way in the area to rule out the presence of any remaining militants, the sources added.

The sources said security forces remained committed to eliminating militancy from Balochistan and would continue operations until the last militant was eliminated.
