LOS ANGELES: Taylor Swift has paid a total of $55 million in bonuses to workers on her The Eras Tour as the American leg of her tour comes to a close.

The 33-year-old singer-songwriter doled out the sum to workers on the lucrative tour, including backup dancers, rigging professionals, sound technicians, catering personnel and truck drivers.

According to People magazine, the tour is up for being the highest-grossing ever, garnering more than $1 billion in revenue.

After the singer’s dates in Los Angeles, her tour will reconvene on August 24 in Mexico City, Mexico at Foro Sol for four dates with Sabrina Carpenter as her opening act.

Swift hit the road in Glendale, Arizona this past March for the tour, which includes a 44-song setlist of her hits.

In June she revealed that her tour was going international next year for concerts in Asia, Australia and Europe.

Her shows have drawn a number of celebrities, including Drew Barrymore, Cara Delevingne, Gigi Hadid, Mariska Hargitay, Selena Gomez, Billy Joel, Paul Rudd, Emma Stone, Miles Teller and Reese Witherspoon.

Another notable name in the crowd at the shows was Swift’s ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner, as they dated in 2009. The two hugged onstage during her July 7 concert in Kansas City, Missouri.

Swift alluded to the Twilight actor’s work in her music video for ‘I Can See You’ as she praised him on the stage.
