Tiffany Haddish wants long-running DUI case dismissed with bold claim

Tiffany Haddish is pushing to have her long-running DUI case dismissed, with the comedian arguing that the unresolved legal battle has become an unfair burden on both her career and personal life.

According to newly filed court documents, Haddish’s legal team wants the four-year-old case thrown out, claiming the prolonged delay has left the matter stuck in legal limbo despite there being no reported injuries or victims connected to the incident.

The actor and comedian’s attorneys, Marissa Goldberg and Drew Findling, reportedly argued that the prolonged wait for a ruling in what they described as a minor case is unusual and no longer justified.

Their latest filing comes after Haddish’s lawyers previously requested the case be dismissed, saying the uncertainty surrounding the unresolved charge has begun affecting her ability to secure overseas work opportunities and professional commitments.

Haddish also claims companies have become hesitant to work with her while the legal matter remains unresolved, creating financial setbacks and complications for future projects.

According to the filing, the Girls Trip star has repeatedly informed the court that she is prepared to proceed to trial, only for decisions to remain pending.

Her legal team reportedly maintains that prosecutors no longer appear actively invested in pursuing the case and argued that constitutional fairness requires it to be dismissed.

The DUI case dates back several years and has remained unresolved despite multiple court developments over time.

For now, it remains unclear whether the court will agree to Haddish’s request or allow proceedings to continue.
