Trump says Xi Jinping to visit US in Sep

WEB DESK: US President Donald Trump has said Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to visit the United States on September 24, while he also indicated plans for a future visit to China.

President Trump said he would discuss artificial intelligence and other key issues with Xi during the expected meeting, which could coincide with the United Nations General Assembly session in New York.

The US president mentioned the possible visit while speaking about the construction of a new White House ballroom, saying the facility could host high-level meetings, including talks with the Chinese leader.

Trump also said he is expected to travel to China later, as both countries seek to maintain dialogue and manage tensions over trade, technology, and strategic issues.
