Zimbabwe announces squad for upcoming series against Pakistan

BULAWAYO: Zimbabwe announced their ODI and T20I squad for the upcoming series against Pakistan, which is set to kick off on November 24.
ODI
Zimbabwe’s squad for the three match ODI series will be led by Craig Ervine. The squad’s three uncapped players, including Trevor Gwandy, Tashinga Musekiwa, and Tinotenda Maposa, are being supported by more seasoned players including Sikandar Raza, Sean Willians, Blessing Muzarabani, and Rcihard Ngarava.
While Gwandu has played for Zimbabwe in T20Is before, it is his first time representing the side in ODIs. He is a 26 year old fast bowler who has taken 6 wickets in T20Is and 21 in First Class cricket. Musekiqa has also played for Zimbabwe in T20Is before. The 24 year old has made 38 runs in T20Is and 34 in first class cricket. Maposa has never represented Zimbabwe on the international stage. The 21 year old has scored 79 runs and taken 14 wickets in First Class cricket.
The three matches will take place on the 24, 26, and 28 of November.

T20I
Zimbabwe’s T20I squad remains unchanged from the group that went undefeated in their five matches at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Sub Regional Africa Qualifier in October.
Zimbabwe’s Convener of Selectors, David Mutendera stated that “Maintaining the same T20I squad allows the team to build on the cohesion and confidence from their recent success.”
Sikandar Raza will continue to lead the side.
