Alia Bhatt to join husband Ranbir Kapoor in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana

Web Desk: Director Nitesh Tiwari has reportedly chosen Alia Bhatt to portray the iconic character of Sita opposite her real-life partner Ranbir Kapoor, who will be playing Ram, in the highly-anticipated epic drama Ramayana. 

Other prominent actresses like Deepika Padukone and Sai Pallavi were also reported to be in the running for the lead role but speculations started swirling after Alia was spotted at Tiwari’s office. 

Meanwhile, an official statement about the cast is yet to be made.

Alia and Ranbir, who last shared the screen in the blockbuster film Brahmastra helmed by Ayan Mukherjee, received widespread acclaim for their on-screen chemistry and stellar performances.

The exciting development has left fans eagerly anticipating the on-screen reunion of the power couple in this glamorous retelling of the ancient mythological tale.
