During the interview, Jack Antonoff discussed his recent accomplishments as a producer. He enthusiastically talked about his work on Taylor Swift’s eleventh studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department”.

He has also collaborated with Sabrina Carpenter’s single “Please Please Please”, one of her first hits. Referring to both artists as “the best,” Antonoff described the success as “wild”. In particular, he noted the overwhelming reception of Swift’s album, which he called described as mind-blowing.

Antonoff provided some insights into his work as a music producer. “I work not very far away, at a studio called Electric Lady”. He expressed joy in the creative containment of the studio, where he and his team craft their music.

Reflecting on songwriting, Antonoff said that music should be about compelling and emotionally resonant topics. “You don’t hear a lot of great songs about one’s lunch order. So the things you don’t really understand and cause you pain are usually worth writing about,” he stated.

When asked about his plans for the holiday, Antonoff responded, “Tonight? I’m going to the studio. That’s where I have to be.”

Antonoff’s collaboration with Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter has seen significant success in recent months. Carpenter achieved her first Billboard number one hit with “Please Please Please. Meanwhile Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department” broke records even before its release. TTPF became Spotify’s most pre-saved album, as well.
