Acting chief justice Sindh High Court appointed

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Law and Justice issued a notification for the appointment of Justice Irfan Saadat Khan’s as acting Chief Justice Sindh High Court (SHC).

Yesterday, President Arif Alvi had appointed Justice Irfan Saadat Khan, a Puisne judge of the Sindh High Court, as the acting CJ of the SHC.

Supreme Court issues benches, cause lists for next week

The president made the appointment in accordance with Article 196 of the Constitution, which follows the impending retirement of the current chief justice of the SHC. Current Chief Justice Ahmed Ali M Sheikh will retire on October 2 (Monday).

Irfan Saadat will remain acting chief justice till appointment of next permanent chief justice, the ministry’s notification said.
