Bannu: three CTD personnel martyred in clash with militants

WEB DESK: Three personnel of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) were martyred during an exchange of fire with militants in Bannu, police said on Thursday.
According to officials, the encounter took place during an intelligence-based operation in the region, which led to a fierce gun battle between security forces and the militants.
KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi paid tribute to the martyred CTD officials, lauding their courage and sacrifice in the fight against terrorism.

Expressing condolences to the families of the fallen personnel, the governor said the nation stood united in honouring their bravery. He also extended his best wishes for the speedy recovery of police officials injured in the operation.
“Our police and security forces have made countless sacrifices in the war against terrorism, and those sacrifices will not go in vain,” Governor Kundi said, while acknowledging the efforts of law enforcement agencies in combating militancy.
