LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz announcing healthcare initiatives has announced the reinstatement of the free medicine distribution system in the province.

During a recent address at a ceremony, CM Maryam Nawaz highlighted the swift implementation of public welfare initiatives, emphasizing the provision of essential medications for diseases such as hepatitis and tuberculosis directly to households which would benefit  approximately 0.2 million patients.

Under the scheme, 0.2 million patients will receive free medicines at their door steps for a duration of two months, enhancing accessibility to vital healthcare resources.

Furthermore, CM Nawaz unveiled plans for the establishment of a cutting-edge cardiology hospital in Sargodha and a state-of-the-art cancer facility in Lahore. Additionally, she announced the rollout of a project featuring 200 mobile clinics to bolster healthcare services across the province.

Reflecting on the legacy of Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, CM Maryam Nawaz expressed pride in continuing their tradition of implementing exemplary welfare projects. She reiterated her commitment to delivering top-notch healthcare facilities to all 36 districts of Punjab under her administration.

FIELD HOSPITALS BECOME OPERATIONAL IN PUNJAB

Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari announced that field hospitals across Punjab have initiated their operation as per the vision of Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz.

The Information Minister shared a report on field hospitals, highlighting that more than one thousand patients underwent examination yesterday (Friday).

With the available testing laboratory in the field hospital, 85 patients underwent medical tests while 72 patients underwent ultrasound and X-ray examinations.

Azma Bukhari asserted that their government was providing facilities to the public in underprivileged areas of Punjab continuously.

The Information Minister revealed that field hospitals were fully operational in far-flung areas of Bahawalpur, Jhang, Multan, Okara, Muzaffargarh, Faisalabad, and Sargodha.

She stated that a healthy Punjab was the foremost priority of Punjab CM.

Azma Bukhari emphasized that Maryam Nawaz believed in the fulfillment of responsibility and duty.
