Dry weather expected nationwide today; isolated thundershowers in the north

WEB DESK: The weather across most parts of the country is expected to remain dry, predicts Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). However, in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and the Pothohar region, the skies will be cloudy, and there is a chance of strong winds and thundershowers in some areas.
In Islamabad, the weather on Wednesday is forecasted to be partly cloudy, with a 45 per cent probability of strong winds and thundershowers in the surrounding areas.
In Punjab, dry conditions will prevail in most districts. However, in Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Murree, and nearby areas, partly cloudy skies with strong winds and thundershowers are expected. Morning smog is likely in Bahawalpur, Multan, and surrounding regions.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts will experience partly cloudy conditions. Strong winds and thundershowers are forecasted in Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Dir, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Hangu, Kurram, Buner, Haripur, Abbottabad, and Mansehra.
In Sindh, hot and dry weather will dominate most districts, while Balochistan will also see predominantly dry conditions.
In Kashmir, cloudy skies with gusty winds and thundershowers are expected, while Gilgit-Baltistan is likely to experience similar weather patterns.
