Faiz Hameed to get life or death penalty, claims Vawda

ISLAMABAD: Senator Faisal Vawda has claimed that former DG ISI General (retd) Faiz Hameed will either receive the death penalty or life imprisonment.

Speaking on a private news channel program, Vawda asserted that Faiz Hameed will not become a state witness, and his court-martial and punishment will proceed.

He stated that the Army Chief has initiated accountability measures, and there will be no relief for the former intelligence chief.

On political developments, Vawda claimed that KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur controls all resources and will eventually force Junaid Akbar to resign.

He described Akbar as loyal to PTI but powerless to help Imran Khan. He predicted that Barrister Gujjar would not remain PTI chairman for long, alleging that internal party conflicts would consume him.

Vawda accused both the government and PTI of wanting to keep Imran Khan in jail. He also criticized the PTI’s planned protests, calling them an attempt to disrupt the Turkish President’s visit and the championship event. He insisted that no major demonstrations or sit-ins were taking place and dismissed the situation as mere theatrics.
