Federal govt declares public holiday for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW)

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced that 12th Rabi’ul-Awwal falling on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 will be a public holiday in observance of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).

The Cabinet Division issued the official holiday notification today, allowing citizens to celebrate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Government offices, banks, and educational institutions will remain closed on the designated day, providing Muslims across the country the opportunity to engage in religious festivities, communal prayers, and family gatherings.

Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) marks a significant event in the Islamic calendar, commemorating the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
