FIA investigates PTI founder over controversial social media post

ISLAMABAD: A case has been registered against the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party for allegedly inciting rebellion against the government and state institutions.

The case has been identified as no. 1138/24, and was filed on Friday.

A four-member team from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrived at Adiala Jail at 7:45 pm to on Friday to conduct a questioning related to the case.

The PTI founder was summoned for interrogation by the Deputy Superintendent of the jail.

However, sources indicate that the PTI founder declined to participate in the investigation, citing the need to consult with legal counsel.

As a result, the FIA team is scheduled to return to the Adiala Jail on Saturday (today) morning for further inquiries.

The investigation team aims to interrogate the former Prime Minister regarding the alleged sedition measures and to identify any accomplices involved in disseminating the information.
