WEB DESK: The Flour Mills Association has taken a commendable step to alleviate the financial burden on the public.
Following a meeting with caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the Flour Mills Association has announced reduction in the price of 20 kg bag of flour by Rs10 across all districts in Punjab.
The Central Chairman of the Flour Mills Association, Asim Raza, expressed his solidarity with the caretaker government’s mission to provide relief to the citizens.
He highlighted the importance of addressing the delay in the release of government wheat, emphasising that the immediate distribution of government wheat is vital to further decreasing flour prices.

Raza also informed the caretaker chief minister and the chief secretary about the challenges arising from the delay and provided recommendations regarding the pricing strategy for government wheat.
According to ARY News, the price of a 20-kg bag of flour has been reduced by Rs10. Consequently, the flour will now be available for Rs2,740 instead of Rs2,750 in Lahore.
This decision follows a directive from Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar, who urged all Chief Ministers to reduce the prices of essential items and services in response to a significant reduction of Rs40 per litre in petrol prices on Sunday night.
